What Is ASTM A182 F5 Flanges?
The ASTM A182 F5 covers forged flange that are designated to work in high-temperature services. ASTM A182 F5 Flanges connect piping grades efficiently and can be easily assembled or disassembled. These flange provide stability and strength to the module as there is a vigorous movement of flow in the system. The A182 F5 material is designed with a chemical content of carbon, manganese, phosphorous, sulfur, silicon, nickel, chromium, and molybdenum. This allows them to be used across harsh conditions.
ASTM A182 Gr F5 forged flange is processed at extreme pressures and temperatures, giving the flange outstanding tensile and fatigue strength. These flange are designated into different pressure classes and schedules. The ASTM A182 F5 flange is designed to operate at 75 PSI at 800 degrees F.
